Does a decent job; I need to replace more often than stated guidelines. I don't know if this is normal, as I switched to these last year from permanent washable type, but pleats are not uniformly spread out; some too wide and some scrunched up together.

When my new Carrier heat pump was installed last year, it had a fiber filter that must be washed to clean. I found the type filter I had used in my previous heat pump, these type filters are excellent in preventing dust entering the system. Terrific filters. Second time ordering. These are well made, and even when they are supposed to be changed they look really good, I am allergic and they stop, dust, mold, mildew, and are great for taking out pollen. This past spring I could hardly breathe when the pollen flew but none came through the vents the filters stopped them! I highly recommend these and they are far less money than the brand new ones.
