ClearChoice Natural Replacement for GE MSWF Refrigerator Filter

The aftermarket ClearChoice CLCH113-N filter is used in refrigerators by GE.  It is designed to replace the factory original MSWF and is usually used in side by side refrigerators.  The CLCH113-N filter creates better tasting water for drinking and making beverages as well as clean, clearer, healthy ice.

The private label filter was not as easy to install as the previous filter. I think the web site should allow the customer to chose. As far as how it works it is too early to tell.

How to install

How To Install The MSWF Filter:

  1. Remove old filter cartridge by grasping and slowly rotating to the left (counterclockwise)
  2. Position new cartridge inside the cartridge holder and slowly rotate the cartridge to the right (clockwise) until it stops.  The cartridge will rotate about 1/2 turn.  Do not overtighten
  3. Flush 4.5 gallons through the filter before use.  This will clear the system and prevent sputtering
  4. Press and hold reset water filter button if your fridge has one
  5. Replace the filter every 6 months
