Had to add camper seal to this media filter in order for it to fit snugly in filter housing, unlike their 21 x 27 x 5 filter which had sponge rubber seal strips on top, bottom, and sides of the filter, creating a tight fit to prevent dust from accumulating on the evaporator coils and AC duct work. Otherwise, overall satisfied with the quality of both the 17.5 x 27 x 5 and 21 x 27 x 5 filters.

Wonderful salesperson (? SARAH) What, no 5 STAR rating ? I had asked for a specific filter, ( a multi-pak ) all was well , I was even given a discount . Problem, BIG PROBLEM, I received what looked like a filter of another model re-fitted with foam tape ? So, I get to test a FRANKENFILTER, I have to test ! GIVE ME WHAT I ASK FOR ! It really was simple ( PERFECT FIT air-tite enclosure 17 1/2 X 27 X 5 ) MODEL # BAYFTFR17M, but no, BAIT & SWITCH, SARAH if you didn't know, you were part of it. Customers deserve better

These filters were delivered quickly and had a 25% cost saving compared to what I was charged by the HVAC company that services my HVAC unit. The filter I got had a flexible foam strip on one end and one edge, so it fits tightly into the filter location. This will help prevent air from bypassing the filter. It appears to be a quality filter, but I can't do any engineering analysis of it compared to other brands. The minimum order was 2 filter, so now I have a spare to change out and do not have to wait for a replacement when I procrastinate in re-ordering.
