I was using an OEM filter prior to giving Discount Filters a try. Having used the Allergy filter (Merv11) in my furnace for a number of years I highly recommend Discount Filters and their Merv11 filter. The Merv11 filter is outstanding at capturing the finest particles that invade all of our homes without effecting the airflow, keeping the furnace/blower motor area much cleaning then the lower MERV rating filters. The filter has fins for holding the folds of the filter material in place. These fins were all in disarray when I received the filter and I had manually push them into decent shape but they're uneven and many curved, but should be straight.
