I assume it will work fine but it did not fit the slot for it in my furnace even though it was listed as fitting it. I could get it in by crunching it a little bit.

This filter is self-contained--meaning it includes its own built-in cardboard frame--no additional devices needed to use this filter. The filter I replaced required a plastic front & back which held the ends of the filter and gave the old filter its depth. The only downside to the new filter is that there is no tab which would help in pulling the filter out of the furnace filter box. I just pulled out one of the cardboard tabs which help keep the filter paper in its fan-fold shape.
